Beautiful sunday morning. Sunny weather (17C). Many are the promenade and enjoy the benefits of the Mediterranean climate. We also go on nice sunday walk, and now we bring you our impressions and one nice story.
The most beautiful promenade in Budva is near the Slovenska beach. This was our route.
Many tourists are surprised when at Slovenska Plaza find a sculpture “Kupacica”. This beautiful sculpture is work of the sculptor Gradimir Aleksić, who found his inspiration in the old local legend about a girl, who came each morning to the beach, spent her days looking at the open sea, waiting for her fiancé to come back to her. The years passed by, the sailors came and went, but the fiancé never came back. One day, she was found dead on that rock, her look was aimed to the open sea.
Also, near the old town Budva, there is another sculpture – from same author, and based on same story (legend). This one is “Balerina” on the rock and is situated on the small path from Budva to Mogren Beach. This 2 sculptures are somehow one of the “trade marks” of Budva. There is so many photos with this 2 nice art works.
